About the Film
Narrated by Emmy Award winner Lily Tomlin, Teach Your Children Well brings to the screen first-hand accounts by parents, teachers and LGBT young people of the day-to-day struggle to live and learn in a society where homophobic attitudes still prevail. The film is a call to action for all concerned people of conscience to help eradicate this unenlightened state of mind.
It is our intention that the message of this film expands beyond theaters and film festivals, reaching into the areas where these misguided behaviors take place: our schools, churches, homes and neighborhoods. We all can make a difference.
Mahatma Gandhi said, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” It is up to each of us to be that change.
